We did this for both Rise and Mine train and we landed decent times about 10 mines after 8AM. So if you miss the first batch, wait a minute and then refresh again. It appears that Disney releases the tickets in batches every 1-2 minutes apart. ***** Tip for Lightening Lane tickets -> Do NOT give up. The popular rides get snatched up within seconds - Rise of the Resistance and Seven Dwarves Mine Train were hardest to get by a long shot. The lowly non-resort people need to wait till 8AM before they can purchase these tickets. Lightening Lane rides - Another huge cash grab from Disney - The resort people will have first dibs at 7AM on these tickets. Remember that people in your "party" in the Disney app can book for the group. For some odd reason - the Iphone app was faster to refresh and get times than Android. You have to be fast - rides like Slinky Dog, Mickey and Minnie train, Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise, Navi River, Test Track -> These ones are going to be the first to go. ![]() The good rides disappear within seconds - literally seconds. In a nutshell - even with Genie+ you HAVE TO WAKE UP BEFORE 7AM every park day to start to make your ride reservations. This was also made the experience worse than what it should have been. ![]() Also learn the strategies around using this to stack your rides to get the most out of Genie+ If you intend to wait an hour or more for each ride - then skip it. Try to use the Disney App to mobile order where possible, that will help with the wait times for that type of food. It cost $15 for a Hot Dog and fries from Caseys at Magic Kingdom and the wait time was pretty bad. However, it's pretty plain, it's pretty terrible value IMO. The food court, cafe, or burger french fry meals are much cheaper $15-$20 Per person per meal. Note - you do not need to have your park reservations in place before you make dining reservations.ĭisney meals are expensive - expect around $50-$60 USD per person per meal if you intend to "sit down" and eat. The food reservations will likely dictate which park you do on which day. Magic Kingdom - Be Our Guest, Crystal PalaceĪnimal Kingdom - most food options are meh - We did Tiffins which was actually pretty goodĮpcot - no real issues with food here since there are so many options If you intend to eat at the parks - MAKE YOUR FOOD/DINING RESOS AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE in Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom They disappear fast - especially the popular ones: 2 months out and parks were showing yellow. We had planned a trip 6 months out and parks were wide open for reservations. Note that the train from the airport to DWD is no longer there.ĭWD is a gong show, large crowds. If you can line up transportation from the airport to your hotel or airbnb ahead of time - that would be highly recommended. Then the worst part was to get a cab was another 3 hours in line. I talked to the counter people and then another person at the pool who was in that line. ![]() The lineup at the regular counter was 4.5 hours - No joke. The Airport car rentals are banana's - We had Budget Fast Break and it still took 1.5 hours to get a car. The whole point really is to experience the attractions etc, and Disney already has you by the wallet anyways, so extra money to ensure you experience all that you can during your visit is worth it.Īwesome information! May I ask, did you get your hotel, flights and tixs separately or bought as a package somewhere? We did Genie+ each day, and paid extra for Rise of the Resistance and Ratatouille, as the lines for those new rides are long. You get to buy early access to the fancy ride queues like Rise of the Resistance.Įarly park access let's you blow through some good rides quickly. It's nice to sit and relax and let someone else do the driving/parking. You can go parks to resort, park to park, or to Disney Springs for shopping/food. ![]() The resort is a kiddy exterior but the inside rooms look modern and newly renovated. I'm just at airport leaving from 5 days at the value level "All Star Music" resort.
